Mega DanceELECTRONIC MUSIC & DANCE CULTURE

About Mega Dance

Mega Dance is an independent digital magazine covering Electronic, DJs, Festivals, Dance and Music. Kick drums, room acoustics and the ninety seconds before a drop are the territory. It is part of VUGA Network, a group of independent digital publications published in the United States.

About Mega Dance

The magazine is written for listeners, producers and DJs who care how a track was actually built, and for festivalgoers planning a season on a fixed budget. The ear comes first: a record is described by its texture — the swing on the hats, whether the sub sits round or clipped, how much reverb is doing the emotional work. Rankings paid for by promoters do not appear, and a festival report is never filed from the press tent, because the floor is where the story happens.

What We Cover

Electronic traces the sound and the tools behind it: drum machines, samplers, synthesizers and studio technique, alongside the histories of house, techno, garage, trance and bass. DJs examines the craft — crate selection, key and tempo transitions, pacing across two hours, the judgment calls that hold a floor together — plus equipment, residencies and the working conditions of touring. Festivals reports from inside events: stage sound quality, crowd movement, site logistics, camping conditions, and whether a lineup holds up past the headline slots, with ticket prices weighed against what attendees actually receive. Dance News keeps the scene's record — releases and signings, club openings and closures, residencies, licensing decisions — short, dated and sourced.

Criticism is written to be argued with: what was heard, where, on what system. When a fact is wrong, the piece says so in a dated correction.
